 I had the opportunity to work for Prince a handful of times. From a few of his summer slumber party shows to escorting him downtown but, my initial encounter was in the late 90s when I met him in a club.  I could literally look over my shoulder and see Prince about 2 feet away...I had to say hi or I may never get the chance again. So I turned and said, "Hey there Mr. Prince. I'm a a big fan" and i extended my hand. He smiled and shook my hand, I thought I was gonna crush his hand as he said, "You are a big guy." I normally despise being called "big guy" but he can get away with it.
Anyway from that meeting to working with him and partying at Paisley Park he became a recurrence in my life. The last time I saw him was 2 summers ago at Paisley where he gave me a knowing elbow nudge as he ran up on stage to perform. I always kinda thought I would be back there to work or see him perform again.  Vulnerability, honesty, and innovation are the birthplace of creativity, Prince emanated these characteristics, in doing so spread his love throughout the universe.  He gave the people what they wanted and loved before they even knew it.  I have decided to delight his purple family with original creations reborn in his image.
